Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2009: 14th international specialized exhibition
The 14th International Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2009" will take place in the National Exhibition Centre of Turkmenistan «Sergi kosgi» on November 18-20, 2009.
“Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”, quickly turned to the big economic forum with participation of appropriate highly qualified specialists, has been annually opened for the visitors. Even nowadays, this annual forum remains the most recognized and imposing one both in geographic and sector-specific sense steadily attracting numerous participants from dozens of countries.
The hydrocarbon market participants’ interest in Turkmenistan is quite understandable and easily explainable. Oil and gas is the main export item of the country, the main foundation of the country’s economic wellbeing. And therefore, the development of comprehensive cooperation in this sphere has always been a priority direction of international cooperation for Turkmenistan.
The 13th International Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2008" welcomed pavilions of 90 foreign participants from Germany, USA, Russia, Japan, Iran, Turkey, UK, UAE, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and others. The whole 2.000 sq. m of the National Exhibition Centre of Turkmenistan «Sergi kosgi» were sold out. 500 sq. m were occupied by 35 Russian companies, Lukoil, Gazprom, HMS, STG, Helmke are among them. There were 7 Ukrainian companies, including Motor Sich either.
The 13th annual Turkmenistan International Oil & Gas Conference “Renaissance in the Turkmenistan’s Oil & Gas Industry”, OGT 2008 was organized by the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources, the State Agency for Hydrocarbon Resources Use and Management under President of Turkmenistan and British Summit Trade Events Ltd. Over 230 world-known oil and gas and service companies, international energy agencies and other authoritative organizations from 35 countries worldwide sent about 700 envoys to Ashgabat.
The 14th International Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2009" covers all aspects of exploration, production, storage, transportation, distribution and oil and gas processing:
• Oil-field geology
• Oils and gas well construction
• Oil and gas deposits use
• Fixed marine platforms, floating drilling units, equipment
• Transportation, accumulation, storage of oil, mineral oil and gas
• Oil and gas production and treating before transportation
• Environment protection
• Equipment and pipelines corrosion protection
• Security system and fire-prevention equipment
• Transportation and transportation machine-building
• Chemical agents, materials and process in oil and gas industry
• Modern technology and geological oil and gas research equipment
• New technology and equipment for natural gas production, storage, transportation, processing and distribution

Turkmenistan has the reputation of a reliable and perspective partner and the interest of foreign partners in its fuel and energy complex is growing. President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, stressed: “Hydrocarbon rich deposits and favourable capital investment situation attract businessmen from all over the world to Turkmenistan market”.
Large-scale tasks on developing huge oil and gas resources of Caspian shelf and the right bank of the Amu-Darya river and other opens boundless opportunities for cooperation and benefit within the whole oil and gas sector: exploration, oil and gas production, drilling and deposits development, service, and the priority is for the companies that use up-to-date technology and equipment.
By 2030 gas production in Turkmenistan will go up to 250 billion cubic meters, oil production up to 110 mln tons. By 2011 Central Asia-Centre gas pipeline system is to have been reconstructed. This will have brought up gas supply double increase exported to the north.
