Turkmen Construction -2009 - International exhibition and conference

International exhibition «Turkmen Construction -2009» and International scientific conference «Development of Construction Industry of Turkmenistan in the Epoch of New Revival» will be held in the modern Exhibition center “Sergi Koshgi”of the Turkmenistan Capital Ashgabat on August 20-22, 2009.

Organizers: Ministry of Construction of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Industry of Construction Materials of Turkmenistan, State enterprise "Turkmenavtoyollary", Chamber of commerce of Turkmenistan.

Range of exhibits:

• Construction machinery: Excavating machinery, earth-moving machinery, road building machinery, compacting machinery concrete machinery, road maintenance machinery, piling and underground construction machinery, hoisting machinery, forklifts, logistics and port machinery, asphalt machinery, exploration machinery, demolition machinery and screening machinery, rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools
• Building equipment and renovation tools construction elevators, concrete and pre-stressed machinery
• Building materials machinery: Brick-making machinery, rock manufacturing machinery etc.
• Special construction vehicles: Concrete mixing, pumping vehicles, transportation vehicles, snow and ice removing vehicles, bridge inspection vehicles

Construction is an important industry in Turkmenistan, most major projects are in the hands of foreign firms, which are able to bring more modern technology to bear. The industry received a further boost in 2007, when a new urban and rural redevelopment programme was launched.

The pace of construction activities expanded throughout Turkmenistan with every passing year and the need in modernizing the existing fleet stipulate for purchasing the large consignments of high-powered machinery. The tasks set forth in the National Programme of the President of Turkmenistan on improvement of the social and living conditions in villages, settlements, towns in etraps and etrap centres till 2020 include expansion of the construction activities. Thus Turkmenistan buys truck tractors, dump trucks, truck cranes, cement and panel trucks, special motor vehicles and spare parts.

The strategic task to meet completely increasing needs of the rapidly developing domestic construction market in high-quality and affordable construction materials produced domestically was set to the newly-established Ministry of Construction Materials Industry by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This spring the Ministry was reorganized into an a separate independent agency by the order of the President.

Reorganization of the Ministry of Construction and Construction Material Industry in two separate agencies was conditioned, on the one hand, the unprecedented scale of industrial, social and cultural construction projects throughout the country and, on the other hand, the existing profound potential of construction materials industry.
