SeaNews Holds II International FREIGHT-2008: Logistics and Supply Chain Conference in Moscow

On June 5, 2008, SeaNews I&C is holding 2nd FREIGHT-2008: Logistics and Supply Chain Conference in Moscow, Russia. The event has gained a support from the RF Ministry of Transport.

The special topics of the Conference are:
- Innovations in logistics;
- Warehousing development boom vs. infrastructure;
- Optimizing transportation costs, pooling;
- Big volumes in large cities vs. distributions in regions;
- Finished goods export growth trend.

The first dedicated logistics event under the FREIGHT brand took place in June 2007 in Moscow. It was moderated by Serge Rivet, then logistics director Mosmart, Irina Birman, Head of Logistic Risks Administration of Kapital Strakhovanie Insurance Company.

The conference participants discussed the most burning issues of logistics development in today’s Russia. The conference focus was on the customs aspect of the logistic process, new warehousing terminal projects, logistic operators expansion to regions, the problems hampering the civilized logistic market development and all the major elements of supply chains management.

The conference featured reports by chiefs of Russia’s and Europe’s largest transport and logistic companies, representatives of the state authorities: Elena Bormotova (RF Federal Customs Service), Serge Rivet (Mosmart), Dorel Enache (FM Logistic), Marina Yusova (Knight Frank), Frank Mueller (AsstrA Associated Traffic AG), Georgy Ogandzhanov (ECR-Rus logistics workgroup), Alexey Bubnov (National Logistic Company), Mikhail Kholyavenko (NYK Logistics), Peter Zaritsky (Jones Lang LaSalle Russia), Pavel Karaulov (Divizion Group), Sergey Malyshev (Euroset), Kirill Krupnov (Volga-Dnepr), Mikhail Minin (ATL), Irina Birman (Kapital Strakhovanie), Tatyana Kondrashenko (OTsV), Andrey Bobrovsky (Logoprom Holding Co), Sergey Kozlov (FESCO).

The new logistics conference will become the 12th in the series of transport and logistics events held by SeaNews. The previous events were attended by over 2,000 delegates representing more than 700 companies.
