NewsGrowth of the Turkmenistan economy rates for the 7 month11.08.2009 
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on July 31, 2009 chaired a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider results of economic development for the past 7 month of the year and the top priority issues of the national policy and further advance of the country towards the strategic goals of development.
In particular, Vice Premier T. Japarov reported on the preliminary results of national economic development in seven months of the current year and noted that this period was marked by the high national measures and steady dynamics of the GDP growth.
Minister of Energy and Industry Ya. Orazgulyev reported on the work done to develop and modernize the power system of the capital, in particular replacement of high-voltage power transmission lines with underground systems.
The Turkmen leader informed of the decision to buy three new Boeing aircrafts and signed the relevant resolution.
Other issues were considered at the sitting and the decisions were adopted.
