NewsTo the Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Workers, Energy Engineers and Geologists Day11.09.2009 
The regular, third issue of Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan Journal appeared in print on the eve of Oil and Gas Industry Workers, Energy Engineers and Geologists Day to be celebrated on September 12, this year.
 The focus of this issue is the priority trends in developing the fuel and energy sector and implementing the new energy policy of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov aimed at diversifying the industry and expanding international energy cooperation. A number of the articles are dedicated to development of Turkmenistan’s energy diplomacy and creation of the new architecture of cooperation in the Caspian region.
The Journal presents the materials prepared by the experts and dedicated to the research and practical aspects of prospecting and exploration of oil and gas deposits in Turkmenistan and the recent discoveries made by Turkmen geologists.
Several articles tell about the projects aimed at extending gas infrastructure towards neighbouring Iran, the activities of one of Turkmenistan’s leading foreign partners – the Anglo-Arab Company – Dragon Oil, which has been operating in the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea for 10 years. Several articles tell about the new forms of payment used at the filling stations, the Sumbar tanker that replenished the tanker fleet of Turkmenistan, construction of the new social facilities in Turkmenistan funded by the oil and gas enterprises.
