Ashgabat invites builders and constructors

For the time being the construction and building industry of Turkmenistan is one of most important industries of the State economy.

For the international companies and organizations of the construction and building industry, interested in development of Turkmenistan market of building technologies, equipment and services the most important and universal instrument of the market entry may be participation in specialized industry events, particularly:

White City – Ashgabat 2010 - 9th Turkmenistan multipurpose international exhibition (May 13-15, 2010). Each spring the Turkmen capital becomes the venue for the White City – Ashgabat International Universal Exhibition - the most impressive and trustworthy event in the field of the building trade and municipal services.
Turkmengurlusyk 2010 – 2^nd International exhibition «Turkmen Construction - 2010» and International scientific conference «Development of Construction Industry of Turkmenistan» (August 20-22, 2010) dedicated to the achievements and further development of one of the priority sectors of Turkmen economy. It is a splendid opportunity for the participants to showcase their achievements in various fields of construction as well as specify the trends in mutually advantageous cooperation.

Ashgabat is rapidly developing turning into a modern megalopolis, one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in the world. Construction of social and cultural and other facilities including comfortable apartment houses, modern educational institutions, administrative buildings and sports facilities, modernization and development of road transport infrastructure had been launched and park areas were improved and extended in accordance with the large-scale urban development program.

Parade of festive house-warming parties and buildings premiers starts

The festive parade of building premiers in Ashgabat began with the ceremony of opening the consumer service centre, stores and chemist’s shop on the eve of National Flag Day to be mark on February 19.

More establishments of the trade and service sectors meeting international standards and complying with modern trends and national aesthetical traditions are constructed throughout the country today.

The Govher consumer service centre has several spacious halls with the photo salon, dressmaking and tailoring shop, hairdressing saloon with comfortable conditions for clients and local personnel.

The 24 hour chemist’s shop has a popular pharmacy novelty – a phyto bar, where everyone can try fresh-made herbal tea and buy herbal potions and decoctions to make tea at home.

The Zumerret store will be the center for making and selling jewelry. There are the jewelry commission shop and antique shop. A special salon of the State Fund of Precious Metals and Stones of Turkmenistan offers exclusive articles. An art gallery will sell pictures and sculptures.

The ceremony of putting a cotton spinning mill into operation that continued the parade of the building and industrial premiers took place in the administrative centre of the northern region of the country – Dashoguz Velayat. The cotton spinning mill amounted to US$ 66.54 million is built on the bank of the Shawat canal by the Cotam Enterprises LTD at the request of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan. Each year the mill will produce over 16,600 tons of ginned cotton and produce 14,500 tons of high-quality Ring cotton yarn of different colours, which is in great demand on world markets. Its annual output will amount to US 24.7 million.

Today Turkmenistan exporting over 70 percent of textile products meeting international quality standards – cotton yarn, fabric, knitwear and ready-made garments to the United States of America, the Russian Federation, the European countries, China, Turkey and others.

The development program for the period till 2020 were aimed at increasing the volume of investments in this sector up to US$ 2 billion a year. The horizons for fruitful cooperation with large investment companies were substantially expanded in this sector. In this regard the Turkmen leader underscored the significance of opening the service centres of the well-known companies Schlafhorst, Truetzschler, Uster and other foreign partners in Ashgabat to provide the textile enterprises in Turkmenistan with necessary equipment and spare parts.
