Turkmenistan to implement large-scale energy project

The construction project of the power transmission lines will have two phases. The first construction phases amounts to over US$ 390 million. The construction work is to start in April this year and be completed in September in 2013.

About possibilities to enhance electricity exports from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan

It is planned to reconstruct power generating units at the Mary State Power Plant and build a 500-power transmission line from the Mary power station to the Turkmen-Afghan border that will enable to increase electricity exports eastwards.
